7-14-2008 Blarg:  I broke down and bought an I-pass.  You win this round Blagojevich.

I also finally saw the newest Indiana Jones movie.  I didn't really hate it; I didn't really like it.  I was concerned Short Round and Jabba the Hutt were going to make an appearance in it.

Anyway, I thought I'd do something a little different this week.  Here's a behind the scene look at the making of Al and Scout.

I start with some rough layouts to get the dialogue figured out.  You can see the original title for this one was "Another Potentially Dangerous Situation Resolved with Zero Fatalities"  It was kind of long so I changed it to "Box Inspector".

Next I do the pencils.  I'm probably in the minority now who actually use pen and paper to draw.

Then I ink it and erase the extraneous pencil marks.

Once I'm done with that I scan it to the computer and then color with Photoshop.  The finished product is at the top of the page.  So now you know the hard work that goes on at Al and Scout studios.
